About Cawthra Park Secondary School: Opened in 1972 Cawthra Park Secondary School is a southern

Mississauga highschool with a designated Regional Arts Program. The school is under the principalship of

Mr. Tyler McLeod along with Vice Principals Barbara Gordon and Nancy Gilliard. Cawthra has a long

standing history of participating in the Provincial Theatre Competition, formally known as the Sears Festival,

later the Ontario Drama Festival and now the National Theatre Festival. Although we are not competing

outside of the school this year, we continue to run it as an in-house competition. The Regional Arts Program,

under the Artistic Direction of Stacey Tiller, provides a comprehensive arts education to students who

audition to attend in one of four arts areas; Dance, Drama, Music (instrumental/vocal), and Visual Arts.

Cawthra Park also offers certification through our Arts & Culture Specialist High Skills major program. This

school is well-known for creating a strong student community, maintaining outstanding academic standards

and fostering artistic growth among our Regional Arts students. Cawthra Park celebrates its diverse

community and strives to provide meaningful opportunities for all students to develop their full potential.

“Learning the art of Living… Living the art of Learning” is something we encourage and strive to do well at

Cawthra.
